The bookstore was far too silent for Kai to feel comfortable. Not that he often walked into this kind of place, but when he did, it usually wasn’t into independent bookstores like this one. He preferred chain bookstores that were much more noisy, also generally crowded with people. It seemed as though the person behind the counter and him were the only person, at least for the moment.
He wasn’t sure why he came here in the first place, considering he had a feeling he wasn’t going to find what he was looking for. Out of curiosity, maybe. Anyhow, he decided to look for a little more before taking his leave. Because he wasn’t brave enough to simply walk to the counter and ask for help, he spoke aloud on purpose. “Aish, where it is…”
The bell went of and he lifted his head to look ahead to the door. “Welcome.”, he called before letting his head drop again to the book. Though no response came from the new customer Won Bin paid it no mind, still enjoying the silence in the store. Though now accompanied by the other’s steps, causing the floor to creak ever so slightly. A small thing he found charming by his very own shop.
Though the other male’s voice broke the fragile silence, causing the owner to simply arch one of his eyebrow. He wanted to chuckle, but kept quiet anyways. He contemplated slightly but decided, after advice from an acquaintance that he should be more service set, to speak up. “Asking might be faster.” His voice wasn’t loud, but just enough that the fable knew he was being heard.
