It was near the end of his winter vacation. A time that he had to figure out if he was going to stay in this country with his brothers or go off to America. Surely they would follow…wouldn’t they? He wondered as he had to remember to keep his promise to his mother to stay in school until he had graduated. But school was a pain to him. So many people that he ended up bumping into or have to talk to. It was horrible for him and he grew to fear it.
As he walked down the sidewalk to clear his head of the thoughts of school returning he felt a strong brush of cold air. Pulling his hood to the side to prevent his face from being too damaged he looked to the side. Seeing that he was in front of a bookstore called the, “West of the Moon.” A bookstore was quiet. Jaejoong thought as that was what he longed for and walked into the building. Feeling the warmth of the place he closed his eyes for a moment. Letting it sink in how quiet the place was until he was interrupted with a “Welcome" by the store keeper.
It was his job after all.
Jaejoong didn’t respond to the welcome and instead went towards the book cases. Glancing around for anything that would catch his eye.
Several types of people had wandered into his bookstore in the years that went by. Some thrilled to hear his voice and with far more energy than needed they would greet him, others, such as the young man that walked in, would not even acknowledge him.
Though that was not something he paid attention to in the slightest. Won Bin was of the same type as the latter. "Let me know if you need help.”, he called after him as he always would, but that would be the only thing he would say to his customers unless they asked him for anything. Picking up his reading he glanced down to the sentence he had left off at and continued. This was quite the perfect day for the Fable. Reading, drinking coffee with a scarce amount of people around.
Indeed, he was a man of few words and preferred it that way.
